In 2018, Wes became CropPro’s first employee in Alberta! Wes has a degree in Crop Science from the University of Saskatchewan. He resides in Edmonton with his wife and three kids. Wes specializes in fertility management, and services both Alberta and Manitoba. He loves being able to use technology to improve the economic and environmental sustainability of farms. He says, “Soil fertility has always been my passion and more than ever I see healthy, fertile soils as the key to sustainable crop production.”

 

Wes grew up on a mixed farm near Theodore, SK. He has close to 20 years of experience in various agronomy roles in AB, SK, and even Australia. Wes has worked many years in ag retail, but also spent 2.5 years with Mosaic. In Australia, he spent a year and a half working with wheat, canola, rice, and cotton growers in a very diverse irrigated area (south-central NSW). Wes is a member of the Alberta Institute of Agrologists. He spends his “free” time chasing after kids… but also enjoys gardening as a hobby.
